Interracial marriage originally exists during the colonial period of the Philippines mainly from countries such as Japan, Spain, America and maybe, even Mexico. On this era, opportunities for mixed cultures, customs, traditions and even lifestyle occur unimaginably.
The most dominant in interracial marriage is between an American man and Filipino woman. When relationship blooms into something more special, owing it to Internet and modern technologies today, the American men are likely to go to the Philippines to ask formally the Filipina’s hand for marriage, with the consent of the woman’s parents and family. Generally, the man guarantees a greener pasture for the woman and takes her with him to his country.
Migration of different foreign migrants has led to subsequent interracial marriages, reasons mainly because of work, social status, studies, change of career and lifestyle.
